Testosterone, TRT, and Training

TRT isn't a shortcut—it's a tool. Here's what every man should know before getting on it.

Let's talk TRT. Not from a TikTok doc. Not from a podcast. From a guy who's been through it.

Here's what I wish more men understood before they jumped on testosterone replacement therapy.

1. Low T Is Real, and It Sucks

Tired all the time. Can't focus. Sex drive in the gutter. Mood swings. Poor recovery. These aren't just signs of being "busy" or "getting older." They're signs your testosterone is tanking.

If you're over 35 and feel off, go get bloodwork. Don't guess. Numbers don't lie.

2. TRT Isn't Magic

TRT will not make you shredded. It will not turn you into The Rock. What it will do is bring your body back to its natural baseline. You still have to lift hard. Eat right. Sleep well. And you have to do it consistently.

TRT is like fixing a flat tire. It gets you back on the road. It doesn't win the race for you.

3. Work with a Real Clinic

None of that shady "bro science" junk. Find a legit doctor who specializes in hormone health. Get your total testosterone, free T, estradiol, SHBG, and more tested. Look at the full picture.

A good provider will guide you through:

  • Injection vs cream (I personally use cream, but both can be effective)
  • Frequency (dosing depends on the method)
  • Monitoring for side effects

4. TRT Doesn't Solve All Problems

If you're not sleeping, eating junk, and training like trash—TRT won't fix that. You'll just be a more energetic version of your unhealthy self. You have to earn the physique, even with help.

5. Know Why You're Doing It

Don't hop on TRT because your favorite influencer told you to. Know your "why." Mine was quality of life. I wanted to feel alive again. If your goal is health, longevity, and sustainable strength, TRT might help. If your goal is shortcuts, this ain't it.

Bottom Line: TRT is a tool. Not a cheat code. Use it right, and it can change your life. Use it wrong, and it's just another distraction.

Test, train, track, repeat. That's the blueprint.

Stay strong,
Kevin

Let's do something great together!
